Questions People Have About Painting

What is the best way to paint the interior of your house?

We believe applying paint with a brush and roller after patching any dents or holes on your walls will give you the best results.

What is the best way to paint the exterior of your house?

We believe applying paint on the exterior of your home with a sprayer will leave you with the best finish.  This is why most people hire a painting company to do their exterior.  Well that and heights.

When is the best time for painting the exterior of your house?

As long as it is between 45 and 90 degrees you are able to paint outside with most paints.  For the best results do not do it right before winter.  This way the paint will be sure to have enough time to fully cure.

What is the difference between paint sheens?

The two main sheens are Matte and Eggshell/Satin.  Matte will have less shine to it but will still be washable.  Eggshell/Satin has a little more shine to it but will be a little easier to clean.  The more sheen there is the easier it will be to see imperfections on surfaces being painted.

What paint should I use?

There are many different types of paints for many different types of projects.  For the best results we recommend contacting us or one of your local paint stores.

Will paint make my house smell?

Water based paints will not leave harmful odors.  Oil based paints will produce odors that you are not going to want to inhale for long periods of time.  The amount of VOC for paint will tell you the amount of odor that will be released from that paint.  The higher the VOC the stronger the odor.
